SRINAGAR, Oct 15: As a means of succor to the flood affected people and areas of the State, the Government today ordered the continuation of free biochemical and pathological tests at Government hospitals till December ending.
These tests would be conducted at the Government Medical Colleges of Srinagar and Jammu and their associated hospitals. Besides, these free tests would be conducted at all the Government hospitals of Kashmir and Jammu divisions except Kupwara, Leh, Kargil, Samba, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban.
It may be recalled that Minister for Health and Medical Education, Taj Mohi-ud-Din, soon after floods struck the valley and parts of Jammu, announced the conduct of free bio chemical and pathological tests in the flood affected areas of the State. For this, he had even released an amount of Rs. 9 crore.
