JAMMU, Feb 3: Four persons including three women tried to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at separate places in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a woman namely Veena Devi (55) wife of Darshan Lal, a resident of Jammu near Science College, today made abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
Similarly, in separate cases, a woman identified as Geeta Devi (32) wife of Rinku, a resident of RS Pura, a youth namely Mintu son of Mohan Lal of Gurkhal (Kanachak) and one Parkasha Kour wife of Rajinder Singh of Gadigarh, tried to end their lives by consuming some poisoning substances at their respective residences.
All the five were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where their condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
