JAMMU, Dec 29: A meeting of the Senior Citizens Forum of the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee was held here today at party HQ, Shahidi Chowk Jammu for highlighting the issues of senior citizens.
Chairman of the Forum, Krishan Lal Gupta presided over the meeting, while former Ministers and PCC vice presidents Mula Ram was the chief guest and Raman Bhalla was the guest of honour. Besides Vikram Malhotra, president DCC Jammu (Urban), participants were from almost whole of the Jammu province and all sections of the society.
The meeting discussed threadbare problems being faced by the senior citizens in the society and stressed the need to redress these problems. All the participants appreciated the efforts of the party to constitute such like forum, which was the need of the hour. The leaders also assured the gathering that every possible help and redress will be offered to the senior citizens and their contribution and experience will duly be utilized for the welfare of the society and strengthening party at all levels.
