DODA, Jan 7: Forest Division Doda under the supervision of DFO Doda Alok Mourya has intensified the anti encroachment drive.
During the anti-encroachment drive, one illegal structure raised by Roshan Lal, son of Amir Chand of Pershulla on demarcated forest land in compartment 42/Kuntwara was dismantled by the staff of Forest Division Doda.
It is to mention here that the joint demarcation exercise was carried out at Pershulla by the staff of Forest Division Doda and Demarcation Division-II Bhaderwah.
The attempt to encroach the demarcated forest land was thwarted and the higher authorities of the Forest Department were apprised in this regards.
Further action as warranted under law will also be initiated against the encroachers, forest official said, adding that the drive will continue in whole area of demarcated forest Land in Forest Division Doda so as to retrieve the encroached lands.
