Five stolen two-wheelers recovered, accused arrested

UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: With the arrest of four accused persons,  Police claimed to have worked out three theft cases and recovered  five two wheelers, including three  Scotties and two motorcycles.
Briefing media persons in this regard, SSP Udhampur, Shailendra Mishra said that
theft were recently reported in Police Station Udhampur, in  which three Scotties were stolen and accordingly  FIR Nos. 388, 403, 404 of year 2016 U/S 379/RPC were registered in Police Station Udhampur.
“A team of Police Officials of P/S Udhampur under the command of SHO Udhampur was constituted and during the course of raids, Police apprehended four accused persons & they accepted the commission of crime,” he said and added that on their disclosure, all the three Scotties and two more motorcycles were recovered from the possession of these thieves.
The identity of these accused persons was established as Ajay Singh alias Khanda, son of Raj Singh, resident of Paryot, Mongri A/P Jakheni Udhampur, Aryan Verma, son of Vikas Verma resident of Barrian Udhampur, Ajay Singh son of Balbir Singh resident of Shiv Nagar, Udhampur and Vicky son of Naseebo resident of Sambal Danga, Udhampur. Further investigation of the case is going on and the involvement of these thieves in some other theft cases cannot be ruled out, the SSP said.
