Srinagar, Mar 24: Five shops were completely gutted at Khadim Market in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday morning.
The fire broke out in a three storied Abrar Shopping Complex in which five shops were completely gutted and other two structures were partially damaged.
District Development Commissioner Bandipora Dr Shah Faesal while talking to Excelsior said that the fire started at around 2:30 am in the Shopping Complex in Khadim Market. ”
“Preliminary estimates project the losses of more than 4 crores,” Faesal said, adding the cause of fire was yet to be ascertained.
He said some reports suggested that some people were bursting fire crackers in the middle of night “which can be one of the reasons of fire”.
