Fire breaks out in College Principal’s office

JAMMU, Mar 20: A fire broke out today in the chamber of a Principal of Government College for Commerce probably due to short circuit here today.
“A fire broke out this morning in the office chamber of the College Principal, which was noticed by the gatekeeper and he informed the police”, police sources here said.
They said that staff and locals nearby rushed to the spot while one fire tender was also pressed into service, adding, ‘some furniture items and records gutted into the fire.
But timely action of the fire tenders and fire fighters, prevented the fire from spreading to other blocks while major portion of the record in the chamber was safely taken out, they added.
“‘Short Circuit is probably be the reason behind the fire,” they said, adding that Nowabad police has taken cognizance in this regard.
