JAMMU, July 8: Founding Chairperson of FICCI FLO Ritu Singh along with Ritika Trehan in an outreach to empower women from Block Bhalwal under the aegis of Umeed of JKRLM with Shruti Uppal, Block Program Manager JKRLM, launched “Asha”.
Asha is the brain child of Ritu Singh and as the name suggests it is a “Ray of Hope” to provide a platform for entrepreneurship and skilling for rural women in the field of makeup and beauty services, which is an essential fast paced industry today.
This collaboration with Ritika Trehan, MD Looks Salon, Spokesperson BJP Mahila Morcha and Executive Secretary FICCI FLO JKL will offer free training and certification for women from Block Bhalwal (Umeed). They will further be given an opportunity to undergo an internship to strengthen their practical learning and experience at the Salon, after which the first Salon Asha will be launched in Block Bhalwal.
The women who will start the course tomorrow are Nishu Devi from Chak Singa, Sanjana from Patoli, Renu from Ghoumanhasan, Nidhi from Doomi and Himani from village Ghaink.
The morning was extremely interactive as Core Team and EC members of FLO engaged with the women trainees from far flung villages over their first demo class.
