JAMMU, Sept 6: Female teachers also joined the ongoing indefinite chain hunger strike by Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (TJAC) for implementation of 7th Pay Commission, which entered into 8th consecutive day on Thursday.
The teachers, who began their this morning for the next 24 hours, included Neha Sharma (Press and Publicity secretary), Rita Thakur , Jamait Ali Agah (Provincial president JKTF), Reshi Singh Rana (State organizer JKRTTF), Vipin Raj , Rashpal Singh, Dewan Singh, Asgar Hussain, Surjit Singh, Maleshwar Singh, Rakesh Singh, Anchal Singh, Nitin Kalyan, Ashok Kumar and Om Singh.
On the occasion, a large number of Teachers and Masters were present and they held a strong protest demonstration against the biased approach of the Government towards SSA/RMSA Teachers and Masters who have been deprived of 7th Pay Commission benefits till date thereby increasing anger among the teachers day by day.
Today’s hunger strike was organized under the leadership of Provincial president JKRTTF Rajesh Jamwal, State vice president Gulzabir Daing and District president Doda Sajad Malik.
