Farooq Amin elected CII J&K Council chairman

JAMMU, Feb 24: Farooq Amin has been elected as chairman while Ravnish Gulati as vice- chairman of CII J&K Council in its annual session held here for the years 2020- 21.
Farooq, CEO of Kanwal Foods & Spices is one of the leading personalities who made J&K a brand at national level. He is also a board member of Khadi Village and Industries Board and a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Forum. He has been part of the board of SKUAST Kashmir and Overseas Labour. Currently, he is working in coordination with the Spices Board of India, Ministry of Commerce, GOI, on a project including contract farming of Kashmiri chilies, mint, fenugreek, cumin, all of which are only produced at a non-commercial scale in Kashmir.
Ravnish Gulati, Managing Director, Lal Chand Roshan Lal Agro Mills Pvt. Ltd is known for its wide range of business activities in J&K. He has taken the Food Processing Industry in J&K to the next level of growth. He is an active member of CII for the past many years since CII’s inception in J&K and contributed to the industrial growth of the newly carved UT through his meaningful interventions with the Government. He was also a member of the consultative committee of NAFED.
The elected office bearers have put forward the forthcoming initiatives to be taken by CII in J&K during this year.
