Fact finding team of prominent ladies visits Kathua, Rassana

KATHUA, Apr 23:  A fact finding team of group of five prominent ladies of the country led by former Principal Session Judge of Maharashtra, Mira Arvind Khadkar, Supreme Court Advocate, Monica Arora, Prof Sonali from Political Science Department of Delhi University, Sarojna Sharma a freelance journalist and Monica Aggarwal belonging to Women Corporate Sector today visited Kathua, Koota Morh and Rassana village and talked with a cross section of the people there to ascertain the facts about the kidnapping and murder of minor girl.
The team at Kathua met the members of Bar Association Kathua including advocate Shashi Paul and advocate Vikas Kant Gupta to seek information about the case. Later they visited the Koota Morh where some women and men from Rassana village and adjoining areas are sitting on fast unto death demanding CBI probe into the murder and kidnapping of the Rassana girl.
The team also talked to the protestors there to know that why they are sitting on fast unto death. Besides, they met advocate Vijay Sharma of Hindu Ekta Manch (HEM) also.
Later they visited Rassana village and met cross section of people there. They also visited the Devasthan and other places in the village. It may be recalled that CB in its Challan has reported that the girl was kept captive in the Devasthan.
A retired Naib Subedar Bishan Dass informed them about the sequence of events which took place in the village from the night of January 16 onwards when the transformer was blasted and later two men came to village on a motor cycle and after making round of the village in the darkness they fled away.
Meanwhile the condition of one more lady sitting on fast unto death at Rassana deteriorated and she was shifted to SDH Hospital Hiranagar for treatment. She has been identified as Trishla Devi. She was replaced by another lady of the area.
