JAMMU, Sept 26: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) today said that with the reorganization of J&K and abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A from the State, the Government should ensure the comprehensive rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Kashmir Valley with honour and dignity and there by fulfill a long pending demand of exiled Pandits.
The demand was made by YAIKS president, R K Bhat at a press conference here. He , while lauding the Union Government for reorganization of the J&K by creating two separate Union Territories (UTs) and abrogation of controversial Article 370 and 35-A termed it a revolutionary decision of Modi Government in the history of Independent India.“We hope the J&K re-organisation Bill 2019 will end our miseries perpetuated by genocide and will reconnect us to its lost roots and ancestral motherland”, he added.

He said the Government should reserve at least four Assembly seats , two Parliament seats in the new arrangement for KPs. Besides, seats be also reserved in all local and block development bodies for KPs who are sufferers of 30 year long turmoil.
Bhat, who was flanked by Ajay Safaya, Sanjay Ganjoo, Sanjeev Koul, Dileep, Sumit Raina, Ajay Pandita and other senior activists of his organization also demanded reservation in all Central Government departments and professional colleges for the displaced youth.
Exuding confidence that that forced exodus of the community and long sufferings would now come to an end under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi, he said that re-organisation of the State would also pave a way for ending the miseries of the community. He demanded job and economic package for the community as well as one time compensation for the over aged displaced Pandit youth who are the worst victims of terrorism.
Bhat also expressed his happiness over the statement of Union MoS Home, G Kishan Reddy for announcing the preservation and restoration of pristine glory of ancient shrines and temples of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley which are cultural monuments. He, while quoting ancient historian of Kashmir, Kalhan Pandit said every place in Kashmir is a religious pilgrimage and demanded immediate establishment of Shrines and Temples Management Board governed by K Ps on the pattern of Waqf Board and Gurdwara Prabandhak Board.
Bhat expressed hope that Modi Government will involve grass root level leadership of KPs for preparing a blue print for the comprehensive rehabilitation of displaced Pandits rather than picking up a group of self styled people.
