JAMMU, Oct 24: Security forces have foiled an exfiltration bid along International Border (IB) in Ramgarh sector of Samba district with the arrest of three Bangladeshi nationals.
According to SSP Samba Joginder Singh, the personnel of 28 Sikh Regiment witnessed some suspicious movement along International Border (IB) in village Nandpur in Ramgarh Sector of district Samba last evening.
The army personnel intercepted three persons and during questioning, it came to fore that they were from Bangladesh and were heading towards IB to exfiltrate to Pakistan, he added.
He further stated that the trio said that they had come in train from Delhi and got down at Vijaypur railway station in Samba and as per the guidelines provided to them, started marching towards the border to cross over to other side.
The arrested Bangladeshis have been identified as Porpast Dass (25), son of Narayan Dass of Dashub Gam, Mohammad Lukman Hussain (26), son of Abdul Bashir and Mohammad Abdul Mir, son of Late Abdul Rehman, both residents of Sogam, he informed.
A Nokia 1100 mobile phone and 6020 cash were recovered from their possession. Nothing incriminating was recovered from them, SSP maintained.
Further investigation of the Bangladeshis is going on to ascertain their motto behind exfiltrating to Pakistan.
