JAMMU, Oct 24: Chinore police arrested a man along with 46 pouches of illicit liquor from Bantalab area.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Chinore police post intercepted a person on suspicious grounds near Bantalab.
During checking, police recovered 46 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession and nabbed him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Parshotam Sharma (38), son of Puran Chand of Ranjhan, Gharota.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for sale among the common masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 326/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Domana police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Chinore SI Vikram Singh Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajinder Sharma, SDPO Domana SK Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
