KATHUA, Sept 14: The Excise sleuths of Kathua district during their raids in various areas of district have destroyed more than 950 Kgs of Lahan, 70 bottles & 45 pouches of illicit liquor on spot in various areas of the district today.
The raid was carried by a team of Excise sleuths of Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Vikas Anand & Inspectors Excise, Sanjeev Khajuria & Arun Kumar along with Excise staff in the villages of Banyari, Persochak, Chhibachak & Labhuchak of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit liquor.
The raid was conducted on the directions of the Excise Commissioner Mohd Javed Khan and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Syed Muried Hussain Shah.
