UDHAMPUR, Dec 14: An Ex-servicemen rally under the aegis of Brigadier (Retd), RS Langeh, Director Sainik Welfare Department, was organized today by Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, district Udhampur, SL Khajuria along with his team of officials here at Ramnagar.
Khajuria apprised the gathering of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris about various welfare schemes and concessions being extended by the Central and State Government for their welfare.
He also educated them about entitlement of ECHS membership, reservation for ex-servicemen PM’s scholarship scheme, financial assistance from RMDF, daughter marriage grant and grant of family pension for life to handicapped children of Armed Forces personnel.
Meanwhile, all routine documentation work like renewal of identity cards, CSD cards, annual identification of World War II veterans and filling of various financial assistance forms was done on the spot.
