JAMMU, Dec 14: IGP Railways MS Salaria and DIG Railways Security Nissar Ahmad today flagged off 25 handicapped, deaf and dumb and mentally retarded students on a tour to Ahmad Sharief at Jammu Railways Station.
The tour of handicapped students to Ajmer Sharief had been sponsored by the Social Welfare Department, Jammu.
Apart from Mr Salaria and Mr Ahmad, SSP Railways, Jammu Shiv Kumar Sharma, Divisional Traffic Manager and Station Manager, Railways were also present on the occasion.
Later, Mr Salaria also reviewed security arrangements at Jammu Railway Station along with senior police officers of Railways Police and directed them to remain on high alert not only at Jammu Railway Station but all other stations and railway track.
Mr Sharma gave a detailed briefing to Mr Salaria and Mr Ahmad on security arrangements made for the yatris at Jammu and other Railway Stations.
He said the Railways jawans were maintaining round the clock patrolling at all vulnerable areas of the track.
