Ex-MLC Ramesh Arora’s poetry book “Meri Shayari Teri Ibadat’ released

JAMMU, Oct 30: A function was organized today at Writers’ Club, Abhinav Theatre to release a poetry book titled ‘Meri Shayari Teri Ibadat’, written by former MLC Ramesh Arora.
The Book was released by chief guest of the function Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu. The occasion was graced by many prominent artists, writers and painters including Op Sharma, Chaman Lal Arora, Ajatshatru (former MLC), Ajay Bharati (former MLC), Padam Shree Jetinder and Sumant Singh.
In his address, Ramesh Kumar said that the Book is an outstanding and brilliant work which was not expected of a politician. He added that it was valuable and beneficial for the society to have such a politician who is so sensitive to the society that he has written his heart and suffering of the society in such a passionate manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Arora said that ‘Meri Shayari Teri Ibadat’ which consists of 82 poems is his 5th book and it is dedicated to Shri Mata Nirmala Devi Ji as it reflects the basic values of life. He added that he got the inspiration to write poetry during COVID-19 pandemic period.
He paid his gratitude to Diamond Books publishers which made it available on Amazon and said that it was difficult task to write poetry while leading active political life but by the grace of almighty he was able to write 5 books and working on the sixth.
The dignitaries who spoke on the occasion include Pritpal Singh Betab (retired IAS), Mohinder Bharadwaj (president, Bar Association, Jammu), Arvinder Singh Aman (additional secretary, Cultural Academy) and Lalit Magotra (president, Dogri Sanstha).
The event was compeered by Ranvind Khanna from Chandigarh.
Others present on the occasion were Preet Mohan, Rajeev Vohra, Sumit Raina, Dr Rohin Gupta and Sumant Singh.
