JAMMU, July 12: Engineers of different wings here today under the banner of All J&K Forum of Junior Engineers staged a protest demonstration against the manhandling of one of their colleagues.
Led by Forum Convener, Sachin Tickoo, the protesting engineers demanded action against the people who manhandled their colleague at Bani area of district Kathua while the latter was on duty enquiring about an incident wherein a person was electrocuted.
The protesters informed that a video of manhandling of the engineer has also gone viral wherein the alleged assailants can be easily identified.
“Still police has failed to arrest the assailants,” the protesters maintained.
The protesting engineers also said that every-time during electrocution incident police triggers harassment for them.
The protesting engineers have asked the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and SSP Kathua to act against the miscreants.
