LEH, June 2: Demanding Special Duty Allowance and restoration of reservation in promotions, the State Government employees in Leh district observed a day long pen down strike on Thursday.
Due to the strike, which was organized under the banner of State Government Employees Association, Leh, work in all the Government offices in Leh, Khaltsi, Nubra, Saspol and Nyoma blocks was completely paralyzed.
The EJAC warned that if the demands are not considered during the ongoing Assembly session, the employees will go on indefinite strike.
