Employees demand salaries, regularization of services

Srinagar, Mar 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Central Non-Gazetted Employees Union today protested against the delay in the regularization and release of salaries of employees working with the phase-II of the Ganderbal Power Project.
Scores of employees gathered at Press Enclave here and demanded redressal of their demands. They lamented that the matter pertaining to the regularization of their services and salaries have not seen any progress in the last several years.
They informed all the 47- employees have been divided into two categories. The first category consists of 13-employees who have been working on the direction of the High Court, while the rest 39 were inducted by the department. “47 people who have been vetted and put up by the department has not seen any progress over the years,” Omar, a protestor said.
Meanwhile, the protesting employees appealed the concerned department to seriously look into the matter.
