JAMMU, Sept 30: At least four factions of the Govt Employees Joint Action committee have taken strong note of the proposed meeting of the selective group of employees leaders including some retirees with the Government on Monday and said that JCC stands dissolved and it has no representative character.
In a press statement issued after a meeting here today Ram Kumar Sharma, leader of EJAK-R said that four major EJAC factions from Kashmir Ladakh and Jammu have strongly opposed the proposed meeting on Monday under the banner of JCC. He said the JCC stands dissolved and it has no representative character. Therefore, conducting meeting with a few so called JCC members has no point. Moreover, no retired employee or those directly politically connected trader unions, can be representative of the 4.5 lakh employees of the State.
The meeting also welcomed the decision of the J&K Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union president Rouf Ahmed Bhat and Mohd Maqbool president, J&K Lower Grade Employees Federation of Civil Sectt, who have decided to boycott tomorrow’s meeting of the retired employees with Government despite an invitation.
The members from nearly 28 employees bodies present in the meeting called upon the Government to settle the agreed demands without any further delay otherwise, the employees from three regions of the State would be compelled to come out on the roads and stage protests. The meetings in this connection were also held at Srinagar and Leh simultaneously.
Prominent among those present included Parshotam Sharma, Babu Hussain, Pardeep Kumar, Markes Gill, Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari, Joginder Singh Manhas, Yash Pal, Kamla Sharma, K A Diwani, Madan Sangral, Prem Singh Bawa, Bharat Bhushan Devanand Gill, P S Chib, Gh Mohd Rather, Abdul Rashid, Yash Paul Sharma, Darshan Magotra and Gurnam Singh.
