SRINAGAR, Aug 12: To enhance the knowledge of the children of remote and terrorism affected areas of Kashmir, Kalapahar Brigade organized 15 days educational tour for them to Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore, Srinagar and Delhi.
The educational tour comprising of 22 students and 4 Accompanying Staff was flagged off by Commander, Kalapahar Brigade and ZEO, Chandanwari.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander highlighted the purpose of the tour. He added that this tour will definitely make the youth of our area more knowledgeable and will broaden their horizon.
At Chennai, the students will be conducted at Officers Training Academy, Chennai and thereafter historical places including St. George’s Cathedral, Fort Museum, Bay of Bengal Sea Beach, Birla Planetarium, Ampa Skywalk and Cholamandal Artist Village.
At Bangalore, the students will visit Tipu Sultan’s Fort, Amusement Park, Fun World and also witness the IT advancement of the Country at the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Tech Museum. Thereafter, they will reach Mysore where they will visit tourist places to include Mysore Palace and Historical Museum.
At the National Capital, the students will visit a number of tourist attractions including Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament House and Jantar Mantar. Students will be taken for ride on the Metro Rail.
On their return journey, the students will halt at Srinagar and visit the Dal Lake, Mughal Garden, Shalimar Garden and Chashmeshahi.
The tour will include interaction with a number of people associated with Industries and Technology thus helping them in enhancing their knowledge.
