KISHTWAR, Mar 16: Taking strong note towards the gross dereliction of duties, District Election Officer (DEC) Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today suspended Deputy DEO Kishtwar Masood Bichoo.
As per official spokesman, relaxation of parameters with regard to ensuing Parliamentary elections was sought by the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K and today he telephonically expressed his deep anguish over the non submission of the requisite information well in time.
“The requisite information has been signed by the Deputy DEO, but the same has not been further forwarded to the concerned quarters in time”, he said, adding that while verifying the matter, it came to fore that the said letter which was prepared on February 21, 2019 has been emailed on March 9, 2019, which amounts to gross dereliction of duties by the Deputy DEO and entails initiation of strict action against the erring officer.
In view of slackness and irresponsible behavior shown by Deputy DEO Kishtwar towards urgent election related issues, DEO Kishtwar placed him under suspension with immediate effect and attached him in the office of ADC, Kishtwar.
Kishore Singh Project Manager, IWMP, Kishtwar has been ordered to hold the additional charge of Deputy DEO Kishtwar till further orders.
