SAMBA, Mar 16: District Police Samba arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal and recovered 250 intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) and 750 intoxicant tablets (150 Tricare & 600 Lomotil).
A Police Party of P/S Ghagwal headed by Inspector, Rajeev Kumar, SHO, P/S Ghagwal under the supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba during vehicle checking at NHW Naka Tapyal intercepted a truck bearing Regd. No. HR55P/3613 that was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the vehicle 250 Nos. of intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) and 750 intoxicant capsules (Tricare & Lomotil) were recovered which were hidden inside the back cover of seat of Driver.
During questioning the drug peddlers disclosed their identity as Sukhvinder Singh, S/o Niranjan Singh and Satnaam Singh, S/o Gurdayal Singh both R/o Dhamoder Tehsil Battala district Gurdaspur, Punjab. Both the drug peddlers were arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 27/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Ghagwal and further investigation is going on.
