Durga Nagar delegation calls on Div Com

JAMMU, June 13: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee delegation headed by its president, Roshan Lal Raina called on Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma and apprised him of their problems.
The delegation discussed the power scenario in the area with him. It expressed grave concern over the power cuts in Durga Nagar, Dogra Nagar and Roop Nagar dependent on R2 Feeder which is often over loaded resulting in power cuts.
Delegation said some times R2 Feeder is shutdown at 11 pm sometimes middle of night putting the people to problems. The delegation demanded that R 2 Feeder be segregated immediately. It demanded one more 100 kva transformer be granted to the area which should be attached to 630 kva transformer to augment the power supply.
Besides, the 230 kva transformer at Matador Stand be replaced by 430 kva transformer.
The Divisional Commissioner took the issue with PDD authorities and issued instructions for segregation of R2 Feeder. He also gave instructions that the night curtailment be stopped.
The delegation also demanded blacktopping of various lanes in the area besides allotting of 10 poles for Kailashpati Vihar.
