Dumper falls in Bisleri Nallah; driver killed, 2 injured

RAMBAN, Apr 16: Driver of a Dumper here today died on the spot while two others sustained injuries when the Dumper they were on board skidded off the road and fell into Bislari Nallah in Sherbibi area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Police sources said that the rashly and negligently driven Dumper bearing registration No. JK18D-1453 was on way to Jammu from Kulgam, Kashmir and it skidded off the road at Sherbibi area of Banihal.
After the accident Police, locals and volunteers of an NGO started rescue operation and shifted the dead and the injured to SDH Banihal.
Police identified the deceased driver as Nawaz Ahmed Bhat, 30, son of Mohammad Amin Bhat, resident of Laissu, Kulgam.
The injured were identified as Parvez Ahmed Wagay, 26, son of Bashir Ahmad Wagay and Zubair Ahmed Sofi, 28, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi-both residents of Dhamhall, Hanjipora in Kulgam.
The injured were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Anantnag for specialized treatment.
A case under relevant Sections of law was registered at Police Station Banihal in this regard and investigations started.
