DSS expresses concern over cross border firing

JAMMU, Dec 8: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) Bishnah and Arnia units held a meeting today in Bishnah in which Sarpanches, Panches, Nambardars, Chowkidars and other locals participated.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, DSS president was the chief guest in the meeting.
Local present on the occasion talked about the problems like threat of cross border firing, unemployment among the educated youth, lack of irrigational facilities and drug menace among the youth.
Charak while addressing the gathering expressed concern over the constant firing from across the border and loss of human lives and damage to the property due to it particularly after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and said that the Government should take adequate measures to protect life and property of border people by providing them more bunkers.
He demanded employment package for the youths of border areas and adequate compensation for damage to crops due to cross border firing.
The DSS president also said that educated youth of border belt are unable to fill online forms for jobs etc due to the absence of 4G network and demanded its immediate restoration.
He assured the gathering that he will take all the issues before appropriate authorities for solution.
Charak also demanded restoration of Statehood to J&K and appealed the people to take requisite measures for their safety from dreaded Coronavirus.
Madan Bhagat, Dr. Ragubir Singh, Capt. Gurbachan Singh, Sub. Prem Saini, Master Gurnam Singh, Capt. Harshvardhan Sharma, K.C Dogra and others were also present on the occasion.
