SRINAGAR, Oct 28: Director School Education, Kashmir, today directed all Chief Education Officers to ensure that there is a total prohibition on the practice of private tuitions by members of Education Department.
Passing directions, the Director said that it has been noticed that many Lecturers, Masters and Teachers of Education Department are running private tuitions or managing private coaching centres even during working hours.
“It has been directed to all CEOs of Kashmir Division to ensure that there is a total ban on the practice of private tuitions by members of Education Department during and after official hours and that strict disciplinary action is to be initiated immediately against any Principal, Head Master, Lecturer, Master, Teacher or ReT involved in the practice of private tuition or involved with aany private coaching institution in any capacity”, the order said.
Asking the CEOs to crackdown on such teachers, the Director directed them to constitute committees of senior officers with impeccable integrity at the district and zonal levels to monitor the implementation of this blanket ban.
The CEOs shall furnish the list of the committees constituted for the purpose to the Directorate within three days and keep this office appraised about the issue on a weekly basis, the Director added.
