KATHUA, Nov 13: Kathua police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 8640 intoxicating capsules of Spasmo Proxivon from his possession today.
As per reports Kathua police laid a Naka under the supervision of SHO Lakhanpur, Sanjeev Chib. During this, a pedestrian coming towards Jammu was apprehended and after his frisking, a bag was recovered from him which was filled with 8640 intoxicating capsules of “Spasmo Proxivon”. The suspected person identified as Javed Ahmed Dar, S/o Late Gh. Nabi Dar of Ladoura tehsil, Sopore, district Baramulla was arrested.
A case in this regard was registered in Police Station, Lakhanpur vide FIR No. 101/2020/U/S 8/21/22 NDPS ACT against the accused and investigation was taken up.
Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware about the ill effects of drug menace. The SSP Kathua, Shailender Mishra has appealed the people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on phone number 100 with Police for the cause. The identity person giving information will be kept confidential.
