JAMMU, Nov 13: A bootlegger was arrested today by Gajansoo police.
“Today, a police party of police post Gajansoo headed by Incharge police post Gajansoo Sub Inspector Lalit Sharma while on patrolling duty apprehended one person namely Karnail Singh son of Dhayan Chand of Saharan who was found selling desi quarters of JK whiskey at Saharan to the locals of the area,” a police official said.
He said that during checking of the accused, 18 quarters of JK desi whiskey (250 ml) and 12 quarters of JK desi whiskey (150 ml) were recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case under Section 48 (f) Excise Act was registered at concerned police station and further investigation started.
