JAMMU, Apr 14: Police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler from Muthi area here and recovered 12.36 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
Acting on specific information, a suspicious individual, later identified as Prince of Valmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, was intercepted at Muthi area on April 12, a police official said.
On his personal search, he said 12.36 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered.
The police official added that the accused was accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 79/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation taken up. According to him, a Yamaha motorcycle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized.
