UDHAMPUR, Apr 14: Udhampur Police foiled three bovine smuggling attempts and rescued 36 bovines.
A team of Police Post Dudu apprehended Mohd Ayoub, son of Ghulam Ali of Sarar Karpalt, Tehsil Chenani, who was smuggling five bovines from Panchound via Jakhed towards Kashmir Valley. All the bovines were rescued and the accused was arrested on the spot.
Police party of PP Tikri intercepted a vehicle HR69C-4284 driven by Shah Nawaz Alam, son of Shaukat Ali of Parkazi, Muzaffarnagar (UP). During checking, 20 bovines were found loaded in the vehicle without valid permission. All the bovines were rescued and the accused was arrested on the spot.
During vehicle checking at Industrial Gate Battal Ballian, NHW-44 Udhampur, police party of PP Battal Ballian intercepted truck JK02AH-6352 coming from Jammu side. On checking, 11 bovine animals were found loaded without any valid permission. All the bovines were rescued.
FIRs have been registered in all the cases.
