JAMMU, Oct 27: Police arrested a drug peddler along with heroin and intoxicant capsules from Top Paloura area, falling under the jurisdiction of Janipur police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Janipur police station laid a naka at Top Paloura and asked a pedestrian to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the person tried to escape, but he was apprehended. During checking, police recovered 5 grams of heroin and 144 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
The accused was arrested and has been identified as Kuldeep Singh, son of Veer Singh of Panjgrian, Nagrota.
A case under FIR Number 186/15 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Janipur police station and investigations started.
Police team led by SHO Janipur police station Inspector Ranbir Singh Bhau made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sandeep Choudhary, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
