JAMMU, Feb 25: Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo arrested a drug peddler and recovered large quantity of intoxicant capsules from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo led by ASI Sanjeet Singh laid a naka and intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 852 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of late Sarffu Ram of Galwadey Chak, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 36/2020 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Kanachak Police Station and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Kanachak Inspector Ravi Parihar, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Suram Singh.
