Home Ministry’s directive to UT Govt on retired migrant employees

JAMMU, Feb 25: Union Home Ministry has urged the J&K UT Government to take an appropriate action regarding the resolution of the demands of retired migrant employees from Kashmir Valley.
In a recent letter to Chief Secretary of UT , the Union Home Ministry , Department of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Affairs has given a reference to the another representation made by Dr Manoj Nazir , chairman Agriculture Displaced Employees Welfare Association (ADEWA) to it and urged him that an appropriate action may be taken into the matter.
The displaced employees are demanding release of cash in lieu which unfortunately has not been released in their favour after attaining the age of superannuation.
Anil Kumar, Under Secretary to Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs has once again urged the UT Government to resolve this long pending issue. The migrant employees since their mass exodus from Valley have been demanding the benefit of cash in lieu as they have not left the Valley on their own but were forced to leave by the terrorists and anti national elements.
