JAMMU, Nov 11: Gangyal police arrested a drug peddler along with 100 grams heroin and Rs 1 lakh cash.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 100 grams heroin and Rs 1 lakh cash from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Gurmeet Singh alias Meet, son of Chanda Singh, a resident of KC Colony Gangyal.
It is assumed that the cash recovered was gained by selling the contraband to the drugs consumers.
A case under FIR Number 132/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
