KISHTWAR, Nov 1: Chatroo Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Chatroo led by SHO Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday under the supervision of DySP DAR Kishtwar Zia-Ul-Haq laid naka at Zalla and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 90 grams cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Tanveer Ahmed, son of Mohd Iqbal Bhat of Zalla Chatroo District Kishtwar.
A case FIR Number 88/2022 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
