JAMMU, Oct 15: Janipur police under Operation Sanjeevani arrested a drug peddler along with heroin.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Janipur Police Station laid a naka at Muthi Morh and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 14 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Pervaiz Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of district Poonch, at present Janipur.
A case under FIR Number 88/17 has been registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Janipur Inspector Verinder Gupta made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Raj Paul Singh and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
