JAMMU, Oct 11: RS Pura Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler along with heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station laid a naka near Kotli Shah Doula and intercepted a pedestrian, who was on his way to RS Pura from Kullian.
During checking, police recovered 8 grams of heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Jaspreet Singh, son of Manmohan Singh, a resident of Makhanpur Miran Sahib, Tehsil RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 137/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Ved Parkash made the arrest under the supervision of SHO RS Pura Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, Incharge SDPO RS Pura Sagar Singh Salathia, SP Headquarters RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
