BHADERWAH, May 3: After nearly a month, police recovered the body of a man, who got drowned in the flooded Neeru nullah near Pranoo on April 6.
As per police sources, a Santro car bearing registration number JK06-4683 was on its way to Bhaderwah from Pul Doda, when the driver lost control over the car and it plunged into Neeru Nullah near Pranoo, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
In the incident, Kulbir Singh (manager of a petrol pump at Domail, Bhaderwah), son of Desh Raj of Narnoo Kulsari, Bhaderwah received injuries and was shifted to District Hosiptal Doda, while Balbir Singh, son of Jasrat Singh, a resident of Kulsari got drowned.
Some passerby noticed the body of Balbir Singh lying in the nallah today and informed the police.
On getting information, police team reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital, where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under FIR Number 37/17 under Section 279 and 304-A already stands registered at police station Bhaderwah and investigation is going on.
