JAMMU, May 3:Making the digital payment system more convenient, IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu has installed Point of Sale (PoS)/Swipe machine at the Front Desk in its Canal Road office premises for all cashless transactions in respect of various services being provided to the students.
Now, the students can pay using prepaid, debit or credit cards, etc for all services like issue of duplicate Identity Card, issue of Migration certificate, change of elective/course other than the admission, re-registration and examination fee.
IGNOU Jammu has gone cashless for implementation of a smooth cashless system and all the fee transactions for all student support services would be done at single point of sale at the Front desk reception counter, including the sale of prospectus-cum-admission form, said the Regional Director, Dr Joginder Kumar Yadav.
It is pertinent to mention that IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu had already started Student Facilitation Centre for facilitating students for online transactions for admission, re-registration and examination since the entire re-registration and Examination process was made online.
