RAMBAN, July 6: A driver went missing as the oil tanker he was driving rolled down and submerged into river Chenab near Cafeteria Morh here on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, a oil tanker bearing registration number JK02BG-1773 was on its way to Leh from Jammu when its driver lost control over the wheels and the vehicle rolled down and submerged into river Chenab near Cafeteria Morh on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
In the accident, the driver identified as Jagdish Kumar, son of Chaman Lal, a resident of Durga Nagar Bantalab District Jammu went missing.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in to fish out the body from the river. Search operation was going on when last reports were filed.
Ramban Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
