NEW DELHI, Dec 25: Save Sharda Committee Kashmir called on Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO here today and presented to him photo of recently constructed Sharda Yatra temple at LoC Teetwal.
The committee led by its founder, Ravinder Pandita explained to the Minister the tour route of Sharda Murti that is being carried from Sringeri Shankracharya Mutt to Teetwal beginning January 24 next year. On this occasion the Minister released the calendar of Murti yatra in presence of members of Save Sharda Committee, that included R K Rawal, Satish Bhat, Mahaveer Thusoo, Shrawan Pandita and others.
The yatra to commence on January 24 Gurutritya from Sringeri and shall travel via Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai,Ahmedabad, Jaipur , Delhi-NCR to Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jammu to Tikker Kupwara on way to Teetwal finally. The consecration of idol will take place inside the newly built Sharda temple at LoC Teetwal on March 22 next year being Navreh and first day of Navratra. The MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh agreed to receive the Murti and attend programme on February 10 at Noida.
Speaking on the occasion, founder of Save Sharda Committee, Ravinder Pandita said that he is very grateful to Sringeri Mutt for having supported us in reclaiming the lost heritage of 1947 at Teetwal. ” There used to be a Dharamshala and a Sikh Gurudwara here in Teetwal which was burnt during Qabali raids in 1947. “We got the land from locals in September 2021 during our annual yatra on this traditional route of Sharda Peeth yatra, that lies in PoK now. The official Charri Mubarak would proceed from Teetwal to Chilhana onwards to Sharda Peeth those days,. We feel blessed to have Panchaloha Murti from Sharda Dakshyanam Sringeri Mutt’ said Ravinder Pandita,. The work on this heritage temple is likely to be completed next month”, he added.
Meanwhile, the Committee that constructed the Sikh Gurudwara also there has already handed over the same to local Sikh Sangat.
