NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar called on the visiting Sweden King
Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia here on Monday.
“A growing partnership…EAM Dr S Jaishankar called on their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia and reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepening and expanding India-Sweden cooperation across sectors,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
On their arrival, the dignitaries were received by Union Minister Babul Supriyo.
President Ram Nath Kovind and his lady wife Savita Kovind greeted the visiting guests during the ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia are on a six-day visit to India.
The visiting dignitaries will also visit Mumbai and Dehradun, sources said.
