JAMMU, Nov 2: North Zone Ophthalmological Society in association with Jammu Ophthalmological Society today organized NZOS conference, Jammu EYECON 2019 at GMC Jammu.
The conference was inaugurated today in the auditorium of GMC Jammu in presence of chief guest Prof. (Dr.) Sunanda Raina, Principal and Dean GMC Jammu, Dr Arun Jain President NZOS, Dr. Suresh Kumar Secretary NZOS, Dr. R K Bansal Chairman Scientific Committee NZOS, Dr. Dinesh Gupta, organizing chairman Jammu EYECON 2019, Dr. Satish Gupta Organizing Secretary Jammu EYECON 2019 and Dr. Ashok Sharma Chairman scientific committee jammu EYECON 2019.
Professor Dr. Subash Gupta was the guest of honour. Dr Dinesh Gupta was installed as the new president of NZOS. More than 350 delegates attended the conference from different parts of the country.
The academic activity included more than 200 scientific deliberations. In conference, Dr dinesh gupta HoD Eye was elected as president of the perstigious organization for the year 2019 -20.
Dr Sunanda, in her inagural address, said that she was pleased to inform that department is marching the steps of sucess first with the start of Eye Bank in GMC jammu and know the department has organized this perstigious national confrence which is first after declaration of Jammu and Kashmiri as UT.
In the event, skill and experiences and recent advances in the the field of eye will be shared and learned from various national international experts by the faculty and doctors of GMC jammu. This will also serve a platform for many delgates to attain skills and upgrade their knowledge .
She congratulated the local organising committee for organising the mega Scientific event.
