Donations continue to pour in for fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, Apr 5: Kangan Trading Company owned by Ashok Kumar Kangan donated a sum of Rs 2 lakh in favour of PM-CARES Fund while its sister concern, Kay Kay Spices owned by Satish Kangan contributed Rs 50,000.
Likewise, Gamon Engineers and Contractors Private Limited contributed an amount of Rs 2 lakh towards District Development Commissioner Udhampur’s Relief Fund. The amount was donated through cheque which was presented by Alok Kumar, Project Director of the Company to DC Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla.
Former MLC and senior BJP leader, Ashok Khajuria donated Rs 50,000 to PM CARES Fund while All Kashmiri Pandit Welfare Society, Hardwar and retired Justice Brij Lal Bhat made a contribution of Rs 1 lakh each in favour of PM CARES Fund.
Union Church Udhampur donated a sum of Rs 50,000 in favour of PM Relief Fund. The donation was made thorugh a cheque which was presented by Bishop Dr Santosh Thomas to District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla.
We Care Welfare Society, Jammu contributed an amount of Rs 21000 while president, Geeta Bhawan, Muthi donated an amount of Rs 50,000 towards PM CARES Fund.
Meanwhile, issuing a circular, Financial Commissioner, Finance Department, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta has asked all drawing and disbursing officers of J&K Union Territory that an amount equal to one day’s salary of every employee may be deducted from the salary for the month of March on voluntary basis and credited into J&K Relief Fund.
