RAJOURI, June 18: A domestic servant working in the house of one Iftikhar Dar in the town here died under mysterious circumstances at his master’s house here this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Mehmood Hussain, son of Talib Hussain, resident of Dassal village near Rajouri. The boy was working in Dar’s house as domestic help and also studying in class 10th. The Dar family members said that mishap took place when the boy was enjoying ‘Jhula’ ( rope tied with tree) in the backyard of the house at around 2.30 pm today. He got trapped in the rope and then fell down and received injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared as brought dead.
Rajouri police, however, registered a case and initiated proceedings under Section 174 CrPC. Body after postmortem was handed over to the family for last rites.
