Dogra presents his book on Guru Ravidass to Khanna

JAMMU, Sept 18: Son of the soil, Gian Chand Dogra, having the distinction of being decorated with ‘International Distinguished Services Award’ (America) and American Millennium Medal of Honours, presented his book on great Saint Guru Ravidass, to BJP National vice-president and Incharge Jammu & Kashmir Avinash Rai Khanna, during his visit to Jammu.
The book titled ‘Param Sant Ravidass’ in Hindi, depicts the life and teachings of Guru Ravidass, who preached equality and brotherhood and established himself as a great social reformer. The book also has short poems.
Gian Chand Dogra has written a number of books during the last three decades and his work stands recognized at international and national levels. Besides honours from America, the author has been honoured with Dr Ambedkar Fellowship Award in 1991, Dr Ambedkar National Award in 1992, Vishisht Sewa Award in 1993, Bhim Rattan National Award in 1994 and so on.
Gian Chand Dogra has also started branches of Dr Ambedkar Memorial Convent School in different parts of Jammu Province to impart free and quality education to the orphan and poor children, thus helping them to stand on their own and lead a dignified life.
Khanna, appreciated the social services rendered by Dogra and conveyed his best compliments for serving the society as an author and an educationalist.
