KISHTWAR, June 3: On the 3rd day of his visit to District Kishtwar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Raghav Langer today visited the far off Sinthan top and Paddar area and inspected various potential tourism destinations there, besides taking first hand appraisal of progress on developmental works.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Kishtwar Development Authority/SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar, GM(P) NHIDCl, Parveen Ahlawat, besides other officers accompanied him to Sinthan Top.
He inspected the maintenance of road work on Sinthan Top, situated at a height of 12300 feet on National Highway (NH 244) and directed the NHIDCL authorities to expedite the pace of ongoing maintenance work to ensure the timely road connectivity to the area.
The General Manager NHIDCL apprised the Div Com about the the progress in the maintenance of Sinthan road and informed that the NHIDCL is making all out efforts to restore the connectivity to the area.
Earlier, Div Com visited Sub Division Paddar and inspected the ongoing Developmental Projects/works in the area, besides holding an interactive meeting with the PRI members, including sarpanches and panches .
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma, BDC chairman Paddar Arpan Singh Rana , DDC member Paddar Hari Krishan and Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma, Chief Executive Officer KDA Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Sub Divisional Magistrate paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak,DGM JKPCC Raman Sahni, Tehsildar Atholi Paddar Major Singh,SDPO Paddar Pardeep sen,Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar Dr R S Manhas, Block Development Officer Paddar G N Affaqi accompanied him.
Discussion was held by the Div Com with all stakeholders regarding the preparatory works for the upcoming Mata Machail Yatra. DC Kishtwar was directed to submit a full action plan in this regard based on the requirement of Yatris.
Meanwhile, he inspected the work on under-construction 50 bed Community Health Centre building at Atholi Paddar, under-construction building of Government Degree College Paddar and Foot Suspension bridge connecting Atholi and Gulabgarh.
He directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work so that these projects are completed in a time bound manner.
The Div Com also met with DDC Chairperson Kishtwar, scores of PRI members, civil society and political delegations, besides held an interaction with media fraternity.
The PRI members highlighted their demands and grievances and sought upgrading of the health care services, Education infrastructure and accessibility, water supply, power supply, road connectivity and telecommunication infrastructure in the sub division.
The Div Com gave a patient hearing and assured redressal of their genuine demands in a time bound manner.
En-route, the Div Com also inspected the Hydro electric power project Pakal Dul and HEPP Keru and discussed the site plans with the project authorities.
